2nd -3rd Centuries AD.
It's the floor mosaic of the shallow pool in the peristyle of the House of Oceanos. There is a rectangular panel framed by a triple tress border between line of red stepped pyramids a lozenge band. The busts of Oceanos, the main god of the rivers, and his wife Tethys are depicted on the panel. Oceanos has beard, rough mustache and fine, thick hair falling down to his shoulders. His head which is turned to the right is crowned with double lobsters. His right shoulder is leaned against the rudder. To the left is his wife Tethys. Her head and shoulders are slightly turned to the left. Her straight and long hair falls down to her shoulders. She's crowned with double wings. Between Oceanos and Tethys is the river monster with snake body. Fishes are depicted above their heads .
On both sides of the busts of Oceanos and Tethys, and in the upper right corner, there are Eroses riding dolphins. The naked Eros holds the red string wrapped around the dolphin's neck while he has a whip in his left hand. In the left upper corner, a figure with sharp conical hat (Pan ?) catches fish with his fishing line sitting on the rocks. He wears a short tunic which is attached to his left shoulder. Under his left arm and on the string winded around his shoulder, there is the bag in which he puts the fishes he catches.
Oceanos, the God of the Rivers, and his wife Tethys symbolizing the fertility of the sea have many children. One of their sons is the Euphrates River.
The mosaic is uncovered in the salvage excavations directed by the Directorate of he Museum of Gaziantep (by director R.Ergeç, responsibility M.Önal) in 1999 at Zeugma
